iOS 14 Users can now set their own default browser

iOS 14 now lets users set their desired browser for opening any hyperlink. The app list consists of Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and DuckDuckGo.

iPhone users can also now change thier default email app in the lastest updated iOS 14.

Criteria to be an eligible browser is to have WebKit as their underlying browsing engine in order to make sure everything is running smoothly. Currently, only a few browsers are available but in the upcoming future, there might be some more browsers available for the user to set as default.

List of confiremd default browser available as options are

  • Chrome
  • Edge
  • Firefox
  • DuckDuckGo

Brave browser which is considered as one of the best browser is missing in the list. As confirmed by the Braved team, the browser is under review process.
